Glass does react oddly sometimes. I've seen it happen with straight up plate glass in new wood windows made in the millwork shop at the lumber yard. When done, they would go up to the glazing shop to get glass installed. We had stack of freshly glazed sash leaning along a wall in the shop. I heard a distinct "ting", so I went over to the stack, and found one of the lites in a 6 over 6 sash had broken while it sat there.
Check your frame, make sure the glazing pocket is clear, nothing bent, protruding etc. I'm not sure if these assemblies use setting blocks, glazing tape or gaskets, but there has to be something.
