as others have said rich foods, and some spices. Uncle couldn't do garlic, I cant do tomato juice. trauma to toe or foot can do it as well. If I stubbed my toe or twisted my foot I would start feeling a tingle in that area and start the ibprofin and it would most times beat it to the bad stage. Ibprofin can help but you need to take on a norm at least 600 or 800 mg and they come in 200mg tablets over the counter. Get the red coated ones from walmart are cheapest and best for your stomache. Gout is uritic acid in your blood stream that crystalizes like a temp arthoritus. Someone mentioned Allpurinal as a treatment.THIS WORKS and isn't necessary a permanent thing to do. Dr. told me there isn't much to do with an active case but once its over hurting a quick blood test will show weather your levels are to high or low. most times you will need to take meds for 6months or so and retest blood may be something you want to take couple times a week for awhile for safe measures. Hope your attack is short lived as I can think of very little that hurts worse than gout.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
