I can't believe you are really upset due to lack of snow LOL ! Given what winter was like last year in these parts, the mild one we've had so far has been a very nice break from what it could be. Working outside has been very nice for the most part, sure we had a really cold day last week, north wind howling all day, and some days not as nice, but last year, we were 90-100 days below freezing, with weekly snow storms of various accumulations. Maybe the annoying insects will be more prevalent this season, but maybe not, as we have had mild temperatures, but have had the bottom drop out, sometimes that has value given the temperature extremes. Ponds are at least froze over, we can play hockey, ice fish, ground froze, towing logs is easy. Climate change, really hard to say what is what. This winter is very much like '11-'12, we had no snow, it was mild, but '13-'14 was more like a real winter, last season was a tough one and going back to the winter of '10-'11 that was as bad or worse than last year, close call on that, but a lot of old barns fell that year and I worked out in it every day, so in recent years we've had real winters, and 2 mild ones. Not sure how that equates to the climate change thing, but overall its still you get what you get when you get it, mild or harsh, either is certain, you just never know which one it will be.
