Just saw a Menards ad advertising incandescent, Get them before they are gone.
I don't feel CFLs last any longer than incandescent, just cost more.
I only buy DAY light CFL's, the others look yellow.
Same with LED, 3000K are yellow, 5000K are a bright white like the day light CFL.
My garage door opener has a place for two bulbs. I installed a 100w day light rated CFL, which isn't 100w, in one side and a 60w rated 5000K LED next to it, no cover over bulbs. They both appear to have the same brightness. Hard to tell the difference between the two. The eye can't measure lumens.
I'll never buy anymore 3000K LED's, too yellow.
Duke energy sent me 15 60w CFL for free, too yellow.
I'm surprised at the efficiency of florescent tube lights.
Do florescent lights have mercury inside? IF so, that is a problem too.
