Might look into Golf course equipment, I've been out of the industry for 20+ years BUT we used to have trucksters that used a hydro static transmission behind a 16HP Kohler engine, they also had a hydro static drive on the Groundsmasters, we had a 1st generation that had a Continental R-839 engine which was actually a 839 cc Renault car engine, Groundsmasters have gotten bigger if you need a heavier unit. I see a lot of parts for them and units being parted out on E-bay.They have introduced some purpose built larger mowing machines for fairways and I'm assuming some of those are hydro static. Another source would be lawn tractors but I'd stick with the bigger heavier units like Wheel Horse, Cub Cadet or John Deere, if those aren't stout enough look for a trashed hydro-static skid steer loader .
