Hi Bryce I think if it was mine, and you need the parts keep the good and scrap the rest. There are 2 parties in this that are slightly at fault. as others have said you probably want a little to much. Sometimes you have posted prices you pay for things here. Cough, cough, wink, wink, some days thats not smart!.
The other guy could also be related to half the absolute low ball offering, time wasting idiots that hunt online round here. I always said if you make a low ball offer I reserve the right to make a counter suggestion, you offend me I'll definitely offend you!!.
The last tractor I put online before I quit buying and selling was starting at $12,000 perfect working, and near new loader. not a call in 3 weeks from multiple placed adds complete with pictures of the tractor. dropped it to 10500, then the low balls started at 5000. bearing in mind the loader was worth over $4000 without the tractor at $5000 plus. had several guys want to pay 5000 with all the buy at action priced junk and thats what it was worth, they never had the loader either. they needed another 5000 spending on them to get ready for work i go to the auctions and see this crap for 5000!.
Then the trade in guys started calling . They wanted me to give them money for there worn out junk 4020 Deeres and 40 hp acreage tractors!. one guy had a 4020 with undesirable options he figured his tractor was worth 13.000. i bid him 7 tops and 3 in cash in my favor . he said i was robbing him. 4 months later his 4020 was still online and down to 8000,and he sold it for 6500 later. Guess i was being generous that day i bid him!. the last guy turned up paid the asking and bought a $3500 yard tractor to. Kinda wish he was the first guy L.O.L
Your going to get an education in selling as well before your done sadly. Life's full of interesting experiences,and people and your not that old yet, but by the time your 25 you'll be half way to most of what you need to learn about people and dealing with some of them and who not to trust!.
