Alright, well, this has been eating at me for the past few months, so here it goes!
I have been trying to sell this New Holland Baler, it is a 66, it is free and turning nicely, however here is what it is missing:
Engine, and everything that goes with it, brackets and stuff. Pickup drive chain, Bale chute (but I think I have a roll away one that goes with it.
Other than that it is a complete machine in very good shape! It is currently sitting on blocks, but I have wheels and tires for it.
Basically I have been asking $600, expecting to take $500 ish, this guys e-mails me yesterday and is a complete jerk with me, I was SHOCKED at what he had to say to a complete stranger about MY baler!!!
He basically said that he wanted it, but it wasn't worth sh!t to him, so he would offer me $50!!!!!
I wrote back to him and basically told him to go f himself, and that the LOWEST I would even consider was $400, well he writes back to me all nice like and says that he is considering the offer and would like to come look at it this weekend?!?!?
(Is he bringing a 12 gauge to get me or????)
So my question is, should I sell it for $400 and just be rid of it, or keep the knotters, needles, pick up tines, chains, squeeze chute, wheels and tires, and all that stuff that could be used to fix my NH 68 (if needed, it is working nicely as is), and scrap the rest??
I have a gut feeling that it might bite me in the rear getting rid of all those parts that could easily be used on mine!! I think I might just pull it up to the shop and dissect it, and keep what I want..
Secondly, does anyone need anything off of a 66?
Oh, I got the baler after a little trading, so I am probably in it $20-$50, so I would still be making money keeping what I want and scrapping the rest...
