I grew up with the 300u and the fast hitch mower that came with it had the the small prongs ; we always had the to use the spacers. Your problems will be, the offset of the mower to be even with the right rear tire, and more importantly, the 300 mower had a top link set up on it. That is how it raised the the cutter bar. The top link was an offset design that swiveled vertically on a stub that was welded on the left prong arm near where it curved down. The lower end attached to an arm that swiveled horizontally and attached to a rod that raised the the cutter bar. When dad bought a 340u, he had the mower modified to fit it. The dealer removed the top link and attached a chain that you had to hook under the lift cylinder with a pin. The movement of the cylinder against he chain raises the cutter bar. You also have to have a chain that holds the mower pto level while the hyd. cyl. retracts : this is what gives the cutter bar it's floating action. On the 300u this is done by chain on the left lift side just ahead of the receiver; I don't know how it would work on your C for sure. Mark
