Hope the fuel pick up was the problem. If not check this out. Post from a Ford mechanic about a similar issue: the driver side battery has a power lead from the positive side of battery routing underneath the battery tray going to a isolation post (mounted on the inner plastic fender well) .
1) the isolator was bad & the wire leads were corroded. 2) the power lead leads to the junction box was also replaced due to also being corroded . 3) did a break out box resistance check before and after replacement and the power/ shut off issue has been resolved .
