Hate seeing them like that, being from where these were built, it was a great product by an excellent manufacturer. A lot of people around here used to call Gardenway home, well it was a good job to have, kinda like home. Older one with the yellow stickers and a tecumseh engine. I've often thought of fooling with these for re-sale, theres just enough meat left on the bone at most of the prices being asked for them, some are too much, but price the new one from MTD, it looks like they still build a model that looks the same as the old ones, gear drive etc. I remember looking on the website. Some will say BCS or other, but you just cannot beat the cost and performance of an old Troy Built, I've run one for many years in not so desirable soils, very reliable and well made product.
This year alone I have seen more of these for sale, and lots of well kept ones, this area still has a lot of these and many of their products around.
