Last night We went to our Sons first band competition. It took place in an town SW of Charleston called Walterboro. Not familiar with where the new High School was I looked it up on the computer and got directions But did not print them out as I am familiar with that area as it was very near to where my first MIL grew up. IT sent us to the far side of the town toward Islandton and we drove as far as Scuffletown Before we turned around. Drove back to Walterboro and asked for directions. Finally found the school and when we got out of My truck we could here our band playing paid $18 to get in. We stepped up to the fence to see the Whole band fall on the ground which is the very end of their routine. Thoroughly disgusted we sat through two more bands and then sampled some of the local cuisine and went home as we could not see our son and the awards Ceremony we figured would be long. When our son got home we learned that they took first place over all. So a wonderful 100 mile road trip for some cold chicken tenders. Although I would do it again as it meant a great deal to our son for us to be there. Still have not figured out why the computer sent us on such a wild goose chase. Ron
