I agree with Tractor Vet. You locked a gear to one of the shafts. More than likely the front gear to the input shaft. It runs on needle bearings on the shaft. I had one do that on my 1655 when it only had 1500 hours or so on it.
If you need a new input shaft and gear you have to pull the engine and hydraul. Then the parts are going to be the best part of a grand if you go with new ones.
You need to really keep the trans lube filter changed very regularly.
