The heat has not been too bad this summer, but late may into early July, humid, tropical air persisted, way too much rain in June, the jet stream had a kind into it. We did get some nice relief in August, cool dry air, just this week did the humidity come back, but it appears if that front makes it down here, we will get the same weather you speak of, and I for one welcome it, but I will say this, its been nothing like it could have been with high heat and humidity like it was in the summer of 2010, which was like summer in early May that year, saw a lot of early hay being baled up.
Since mid August, I plowed, disc'd all my food plots and planted oats, Plot Spike, and No Plow, with the No Plow as an over seed onto the oats, and I just put down the last of that NP last evening, we just got a soaker, oats were all just germinating, still very humid, so this was good timing, now I just need to sneak some lime in there and fertilizer once its all up a bit, kind of backwards, but I wanted to get it growing first, given the time. I will say the humidity is an energy drain, 2 days ago, I noticed it, but with the heat being tolerable, no problem.
