I was reading the local paper, on line this morning and the story was that one of the subordinates under the mayor of the nearby city, (I'm just over the line but have the same zip code) wants to develop and or redevelop some existing old buildings, one is an old residential high rise, I think those are slated for demolition, the other is an old hospital, both are vacant. The details are not so important, but the purpose is for housing of returning vets and or whatever uses are similar for those returning. The former hospital,is proposed to be used for veteran housing, health care and or similar uses.

I keep an eye on building construction projects locally as that is my expertise, and am in dire need of employment that pays well enough to pay the darned land taxes here, they are so ridiculous. I would enjoy managing the hospital gut rehab, knowing the purpose, but it seems no one wants a mid 40's project manager heavily experienced in all phases of high dollar complex projects, I've been involved in over 59 major projects in my career, that approach 1 billion in value when you add them up, I've done 500 million in new buildings alone, start to finish. That aside, I'll see if I can follow up on who might end up as construction manager, its really comical how things are, it makes me feel as though I've wasted my time in this career at this point, and need to start over. I'd be quite proud to deliver a certificate of occupancy for a building dedicated to the "direct" support of our veterans.
