I guess in life we all feel like we want this or wish we had that and dont relize how lucky we all are. Today I had a nice reminder.... My two oldest boys brought home a buddy from school last night (nice kid). When he walked in the door he had no coat. Though that was a little odd as he had short sleeves and it is winter but sometimes kids wont wear coats going from the car to the house so I didnt think alot of it. I got to looking around though and he wasnt even carrying one. This morning after breakfast I pulled one of my boys off to the side and asked if he had a coat, He said no dad I dont ever see him with one. Long story short I remembered a trip I had made to Menards and had picked up about 3 of the chore type coats they had on sale a couple of years ago in my clothset. Im sure its not what all the kids are wearing but he wasnt going to leave my place without a coat. Come to find out the boys family had a fire a year ago and the kids are all spit up in differant foster homes and this kids kinda bounces around. Well anyway the boy was greatfull and came outside and thanked me. I just feel bad he went through part of a winter without a coat. But he and my son took off for an adventure over the hill on our farm and It did me alot of good seeing the kid being able to be a kid.
