An item that cost me $22 I would sell for about $26.50 After I pay the shipping, figure interest on my investment and overhead of keeping a building open. + I have to eat every day too. There is no money in it for me. I keep cows to make a living. The "Store" is just to help out my friends.
"Compete in the Global Market" Do you know what you are saying? Consumers in 3rd world countries are NOT going to buy our products. They don't have any money. And if they did have money, through higher wages producing goods they would not need our goods. They'd have plenty goods of their own.
And another thing. The high standard of living we all enjoy is helped along by us being able to buy cheap foreign goods. If we were forced to buy our own goods of higher priced foreign goods we'd have to do with less.
