I was called to see if I could find out what is wrong with a Liftmaster Elite garage door opener. After waiting on hold on the hotline for 20 minutes and not being able to understand what was being said when I finally got some help I decided to try here also. The problem is that the door will not close unless you hold the close button down. The "eyes" are lined up and when the signal is broken the indicater light shows that it is working right. There is an RPM monitor that appears to be working fine also. I disconnected the door from the opener in case it was binding somehow and that made no difference. I am thinking that maybe the circuit board maybe is low on water >:). Does anyone have any knowledge or ideas? thanks Greg.
