The MF 230 was just the last MF135 built. If you take the sheet metal off it would look just like the one built in the 1960s. They where built 1976-1983. I think they where one of the last gas tractors built.
The price and hours are very reasonable. It would compare very well to your Ford 2000. I actually like the transmission on the MF better. The gears seem to be more in the work range.
Your buddy better snap it up for the $3500. Around here it would bring a little more than that. More like $4000-4500.
