Mind you I'm not young anymore, and I've just learned there's another stinging insect on my property. This thing burrows in the ground is abut 2 inches long 3/8 to 1/2 in wide redish brown with a black band around the abdomen. I've seen these around for years never paying much attention to them. They run into me some times no problem. I used to call them B-52's. Saturday one got me on the lower leg. Almost pee'd myself. WOW IT HURT. After dancing around and cussing I tried the penny and some cream for stings neither worked much. Still hurts some today. What in the world was or is it cause it's still in the yard.
