I think you're right, they do build off a lot of existing platforms, it seems the products are good.
Will seems to struggle with conceptual design, engineering as we saw with that rotary/gatlin shotgun they tried. New designs from scratch are certainly formidable tasks, very costly and very risky, in addition to even being able to be built, then tested and proven. How about the full auto 40mm grenade launcher that was brought in ?
