I'm stumped. I've got a 10.5 foor Coachmen truck camper in my shop. It has two broken roof vent lids. One was easy to get a replacement for. The other has me stumped. These square roof vents are usually a standard 14" square size. Only part that takes some thinking is figuring out which of three brands since the hinges vary.
This camper is a 1973. The old original vent is a Ventline brand and I had no problem getting a replacement lid. But - the other is obviously new and has been recently added (at least within the past 5 years). The square lid measures 15 1/2 inches instead of 14". I've called a dozen RV dealers and none say they've ever heard of such a thing. I'm at the point that I'm going to have to rip the entire assembly out and replace the entire thing with a new one. The rough-opening is 14" just like all the others. But, I hate to tear up the roof and then have to reseal - just because I can't find a $10 lid somewhere.
