Looks like I'm about 2.5 hours east of stone lake. Network drivers damaged during download process?? Normally it doesn't happen. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say someone was clicking around where they probably shouldn't of during said download, or during the attempted removal of Mcafee, they took out something else by mistake. Easy to do from within the "add/remove prog's" control panel item. If you take out an application that's related to your network connection, then poof - you're off the net. Without network access, it makes remote help impossible. I realize you've had recent unpleasant results with remote access - but that was with someone over seas, speaking English 2nd language, in a job he probably hates and cares nothing about. Opposite of me. You mentioned it was a Dell? Those are easy to get drivers for. What you need to find is a Service Tag (not express service tag; just regular Service Tag). It's either on a sticker on the top front, or on a barcode in the back of the machine adjacent to where everything plugs into it. Reply with the ST, and I'll look up the drivers for you. You can then download, burn to CD, and transfer to the Dell. (This is all presuming it's a dell.) If it's not a dell, reply with make and model if known. Good luck... Thanks, Jesse
