We"ve had a nice summer and thanks to the record snowfall last year we still have irrigation water. There"s a lot of snow still in the high country. We haven"t had a run of heat like you folks have had this year but a few years back we a had a low snowpack and and about 50 staright days above 95°F and we couldn"t keep the place for burnin" up. That"s considered hot up here. This year we had a cool spring that set the garden back about three weeks. In may, I was lookin" for grass for the cows bwcause nothing was growing. We got about 4 warm days and you had to jump out of the way the grass was growing so fast! We cut hay at the just after 4th of July and it was four and a half feet tall. Nothing we can do about thewaether exept adjust to it!
