You're right except the part about dropping the bolster shaft....you don't have to drop it, just remove the capscrews, place the key thing on the lever in the groove in the front of the shaft and put the back in place, insert the capscrews and bolt 'er up. there's another part that goes around the bolster shaft too that carries the latcher gimmick that steers the cultivator from this lever thing. I've cultivated a lot of acres with this type of cultivator on a '41 Farmall H, but never really liked it all that much....too much trouble relatching it after turning around at the ends of the rows and the thing is a "pistol" to steer on sidehills, The newer '50 H we got had rigid gang cultivators and they were much, much better.
