3000 is the series number. 3100 is the actual model number of a 3000 'All Purpose'. 3400 is the utility. 3500 is the industrial. 3150 would likely be some model derivative of the 3000 AP (3100). Not sure what it is exactly though... Fuel type is not reflected in the model number in any way but it IS reflected in the model CODE that s stamped on the transmission housing.
