Fixed it! I found a slight hill and put the tractor in the highest gear (3rd). Since the trator has to be in the "s" position to start, I had to jam it from "S" to "H" while the tractor was running and the clutch pushed in. The tractor went a few feet then stopped. After that, the clutch worked fine - no problems at all. But I will take the starter off and spray brake cleaner as you suggested - to prevent this from happening again. Thanks again guys for your advice - Much easier than spliting the tractor or taking to a Dealer to fix.
