Dave.........MMO is mostly solvent. What do solvents do when heated? They evaporate. Engine oil gets hot. What do you suppose will happen to your MMO in your engine? BUT in the mean time, the solvent part is doing its job by attacking and desolving the varnishes that are a natural by-product of combustion and resulant infrequent oil changes. These varnishes cause sticky valves, sticky piston rings with subsiquent problems of lowered compression and hard starting. I like MMO, it is one of the few additives that seem to work. But I wouldn't continually add it to my engine oil. Use it for about 10 hrs and then change oil and filter. I'm also not a fan of MMO in the gasoline 'cuz its just going to be burned in the combustion process. And I certainly don't see any advantage of MMO going thru and cleaning out the carb. Gasoline is also a solvent. JMHO.........Dell
