This alternator comes from a lot vehicles, Ford courier, fork lifts use it, etc. Just make sure you get one that has the 62mm pulley(2 3/8") stock belt. Some come with a 68mm(2 11/16") which is too big for the stock belt. I got the brackets from CharileU on this site. I like it as it starts charging at idle, don't have to rev up to start charging the battery. I have a delco on IH560D, wont start charging till engine is rev over 1200rpm to get it to start. There will be lots of people telling you leave the 6volt system alone, its your tractor! Do as you please.
