Hi Glenn, the 584 depending when it was made could have a self adjusting clutch where the clutch release bearing always rides on the pressure plate fingers. My brother's 495 had this clutch and the release bearing started squealing about 3 years after he bought it. When we did a clutch job we returned it to the old style with the return spring to pull the clutch pedal up so the release bearing stops turning.

Major difference is item #10 return spring on self adjusting clutch holds clutch pedal down so release bearing is always turning and on standard clutch item #10 clutch return spring holds clutch pedal up so release bearing does not contact pressure plate fingers and does not turn when clutch is engaged.
Also item #3 can stick on item #5 with accumulation of clutch dust and dirt. There is no lubrication points within clutch housing but inspection plate at bottom can be removed and the workings can be observed.
