Hi all, just picked up a 42 H for the excellent price of FREE!! Its my first antique tractor and I dont know too much about them, but love em. Its in great shape, but doesnt run right now. I threw new plugs and a brandy new battery at it and tested the starter. She turns over, but very very slowly, not quick enough to fire if you ask me. Its a 6 volt system. I couldnt get the drain plug out to change the oil so I dropped the pan altogether. Im waiting for a fresh gasket and wont be able to check for spark until I get the new gasket, reinstall the pan, and fill her back up with fresh oil. Anyone have any idea why she cranks so slow and what else I should check or change to get this beauty running? Thanks for you help.
