I'm thinking abou buying an old 574 IH Diesel for $5000.00. It seems high to me but after looking around the Dallas/Fort Worth area I've noticed they are all high. Is this too much? What should I look for? It seems to run real well. Started right up in about 40 degree weather after setting a week. PTO/Hydrolics all work. No leaks that I can see but it was pressure washed. I'm going to see if I can take the tractor to a dealer and see if they can check it out for me. What specifically should I tell them to check out? It has 5,238 hours but looks like it was re-built. The guy has an old Massey for the same price. Which is better?
