I agree with you! We never figure in our time as we enjoy the time spent on/in them, and I learned the hard way that I don't usually take the paint to the level of what the car guys are doing, simply because we use ours some, and the one time I did a super duper paint job with automotive paint, I was too touchy about using the tractors, so now they get IH 2150 (in the case of the Red ones) paint with hardner after I get the sheet metal all straightened out. We have never factored in the purchase price on this Super C as Dad bought it back in early 80's and used it well for years, but we put about $2800 in it; engine, clutch, pump, anything it needed. It is 100% mechanically, looks decent, and pulls like a mule on a sled...I wouoldn't trade it for that 14K tractor! LOL The Super H got the same treatment, but needed new rubber too so including purchase price (yeah it was bought right) we have about $3800 in it. If that guy wanted to trade me his 14K Super C for it he'd have to give me the implements and $500 to trade! LOL
