the link attached shows a loader atached to my ih404. i used the bumper to weld a 4 inch cahnnel so i could set the pump. very easy job. pump is connected to crank by use of 1/2 " shaft, woodruff keys and a fibre washer. removal of loader is with 4 pins. takes about 20 minutes to un do or install. shaft splits at fiber washer by a woodruf key. lines up automaticaly. you wouldn't believe it was so easy. loader is an antique off of an early harry ferguson so length of rear lower arms was extended. i also added 16 " on each side to make loader 73 " wide. works great. have been using this since 1972. tractor still purrs. 1600 hours showing on hr meter.needed to add ballast so i added 300 lbs to 3 pt fork lift type adapter. works better than the wheel weights i had originally used. (weight is a small old cast iron boiler some one scrapped)if link doenst work go to photo gallery and under tractor photos find ih404 just posted

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
