and we will be picking up tractor #2 out of the bushes come Sunday! My tractor partner in crime Travis (Niece's husband) heard about an H sitting out in the woods about 5 miles from his house. The friend came across it when he was looking for a bull that got out. He talked to the owner about his lost bull and briefly about the tractor. Sam said to go talk to the old guy and he might give it to us for a little of nothing.
Well, Travis got to go look at it today and the man asked $200 for it! Done deal. It hasn't been run for 6-7 years. Was parked at the edge of the field because a wheel bearing in the front went out and he didn't take the time to mess with it.
Hopefully it isn't stuck but who knows. Has a good muffler and a rain flapper so cross my fingers. Have to cut a few saplings out of the way and drop the brush hog. Hopefully the other three tires all come up. One rear is still partially up. Lots of ifs but for $200 I'll take the chance.
Doesn't look too beat up. Can't wait to get our hands on her!
Anyone want to take a guess on the year? I'll get the serial number on Sunday and some more pictures posted. Whoo Hoo!!! (Farmalls get me excited for some reason. :D )

As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
