I bought a 706d over the weekend. it had been sitting for bout 3 years. tractor has 1386 original hours. i but 2 12 volt batts in it tryed starting it warming glow plugs would just crank. i pulled it bout 100 feet and started. it run pretty good with just a slight miss sound in the intake. idrove it bout 20 mile home never missed a beat. i shut it off and tryed restarting it warming glow plugs but just smoked. i pulled valve cover off to see if i had a sticking valve but didnt so i adjusted them 2 or 3 of them were a little tight stayin open?. then i tested the glow plugs and they are HOT and still will not start. only thing i kno of beside pullin head is checkin the static timming but not sure that would be the issue i have. the only thing i can think is the couple tight valves are burnt causing compression lost? any info help suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Scott
