Does it help to push on the arm on the advance mechanism on the mag? I really have to lean on my retard to get it over far enough for it to short out and die, due to slop in the linkage. I probably should get off my fat tractor seat and go grab the book to verify this, but it also occurs to me that the point gap setting may have some effect on this if it's too wide.
