I was just pointing out to the original poster why his SM non diesel would have a 0 to 75 gauge on it. Starting in 1956 if a replacement gauge was purchased from IH they sold the 0 to 75 exept for the zone gauges still at dealers or in the parts system. In one of the other posts I said the zone gauge was original to a SM.
Looked at all the gauges I could find since the subject came up. See why there may be confusion about colors. Oil pressure gauge 41934DB used on a lot of non diesel M and SM. can be color faded. Some have the red almost faded to white and some look white all the way across. Yes even found one with the white faded a greenish color. Nice ones were still red and white. 41934DC that IH must have used in the late 1953 to 55 area have a good number faded to white all across and some with the red faded a light green. some still red and white. Gauge 362039R91 and 92 have a good bit that look white all across unless looking close. red mostly faded out. Some to a light pe green.
Have not checked into temp gauges but looked at some. Lot of used one are white on both sides of the red. can't say if from fading or some came that way without trying to check it out. All the guages are just used ones I looked at. What you find maybe different.
