i pulled the donor M out of the graveyard today (no bees!!!) and looked it over, im hoping that the machine shop tells me it is solid so i can do a major overhaul and put it in my M.
As I was looking it over I noticed a canister with what looks like another gas cap on the right side of the tractor just in front of the gas tank...Is this a distillate engine? Can I put it in my M gasser without any problem or modifications to have it run on straight gas? My wifes uncle said they used to start it from the small tank then switch over to the large tank back in the day but he used it just like a gasser, can anyone explain and tell me if I can use the engine in my M?
