Those filter "O" rings were a PITA. Couple things: 1)The replacement filters from IH would come with about 3 different "O" rings that you had to select the correct one for your filter holder. 2)It was always very difficult to get all of the old "O" ring out of the filter holder groove. I would use a small flat blade screw driver and go around the groove and make sure all of the old "O" ring was gone. 3)If you torque the filter bowl to tight with some broken "O" ring in the groove, the filter holder will be warped and will leak.
