The height of the SA front axle and the rear axle housing of the C are within 1/2 inch of each other -- 23" +/-. The lower drop axle housing on the A/B, depending on row width/tread setting gives the edge to the C. I grew up on a vegetable farm in south Texas, cultivating tractors were H's and B's. I don't remember a clearance problem. The axle clearance is a non factor anyway. The vegetable cultivators we had, had the feet/sweeps attached to bars that were at least as long as the wheels were wide. Much taller than the cultivator bars, if we cultivated we also cut the roots of the crop.
