Those don't look like the ones I bought, but that was most of a decade ago, too.
I remember buying a bunch for H's and M's. The ones I received had considerably thicker linings than the originals (I had a NOS one for an M to compare to), and the length of the steel band was considerably longer and was flimsier/thinner than the original. The cover wouldn't fit over the band properly, and they were impossible to adjust correctly. The looped ends were incredibly flimsy. I doubt they would have held that one time you really needed them to. Country of origin was Turkey, IIRC. They weren't worth putting on and once you got them on, they wouldn't work anyway without modification. I sent them all back. I pulled most of the brake bands off my parts machines and haven't run out of good used ones yet. If I do, I'm pretty sure the local clutch shop will reline them.
These do look much better. Let us know if those linings scream like someone's being murdered when the brakes are applied.
