This is always a "touchy" subject about what our old tractors are worth. I am sensitive to it also.
It seems to me this is how it is.(Correct me if I am wrong.)
If it is a RARE collector, low mumbers. It is worth a TON of money. But more common,BIG number tractors are about what they were worth when new.(Example:Farmall M is about the same money as when new,IF it is in good, working shape, tires,NOT all beat up.
If you take this SAME,"working" M and FULLY restore it,it doesnt seem to be worth any more money,You kind of have to "eat" all your labor.I HAVE seen some SPOTLESS ms bring quite abit, but ONLY because the guy buying it DID NOT want to restore one,but just REALLY wanted one and had expendable cash. Most guys I know will not pay anyone else to restore a tractor for them. That is half our fun !!!!!
If it is a NON working tractor(Engine froze, busted trans,SH!T tires,ECT)Its worth is price per pound at your local scrapyard. If this SAME tractor is parted out,It seems to bring about 2 to 3 times its original value??????Go figure????
I would say you W 6 is valuable as a GREAT SHAPE,WELL cared for tractor. What did these sell for new????

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
