I have been looking myself and the only cheap tires are used tires and best of luck finding a great deal on those, most run them until they become dust! Here is what I have found, if you want to go with a big name brand like Firestone, Goodyear expect to pay around $1500-$1900 with tubes (not counting shipping) depending on the ply of the tire, 4 ply or 6 ply. If you want to go with a foreign made tire I have heard that BKT is the best way to go, they will cost around $1200 with tubes. The thing about BKT tires is that they are 8 ply while firestone only goes to 6 ply. You can read all about the fight between buying name brand tires vs. foreign tires on this site but it comes right down to doing the research about the tires, talking with those who use the specific brands and going with what you feel comfortable with. As far as places to find them, Miller tire has good prices and I found BKT's through Petes Tire in Vermont (you will probably be able to find something closer to you, i live in NY). Nebraska tires sells "blem" tires which have had the name brand ground off them, go to their website and read about it, some swear they are good tires and others say they are garbage but its an option. Best chance to find tires with low to no shipping is to just go to the nearest tire retailer (not big box store) and ask them for prices, they should have their own distributors. I personally am going with the BKT tires but I am not going to be using them 12 hours a day everyday, only to work around the house. Best of luck Mike and thank you for serving our country!
