If you know the clutch is in good condition, it is best to use hoist and/or splitting stands or good blocks, jacks and split at the transmission letting the drive shaft pull out of the clutch. Once you get about 4 to six inches of separation you might be able to unbolt the drive shaft and leave it sticking in the throwout bearing tube. If so, tie up the back end of the shaft and don't put any pressure on the throwout bearing tube as you could break it. Do not release the clutch as the alignment with the pilot bearing will be messed up. Then remove the nut on the transmission yoke. Good idea to inspect the coupling and replace worn parts. Trick is getting the shaft held up to go back into the throwout bearing tube in reassembly if you go too far and the front end slips out of the throwout bearing tube. A three ft piece of garden hose (or similar) slid through the throwout bearing tube and down through the clutch inspection/adjustment hole, then slid over the pilot bearing stub on the shaft can serve as a guide.
