When I do a TA job on a 66 series tractor with a cab I only raise the cab about 1 inch using two cab jack stands. I then remove the hoods from around the fuel tank and then unbolt the three bolts that hold the fuel tank to the steering column. If the tank is almost empty it can be easly be removed by hand. You may have to drain fuel from the tank if there is to much fuel in it if you are going to handle it by hand. I then unbolt the steering column from the speed transmission cover and set the steering unit to the rear of the tractor resting the steering wheel in the seat. You are now ready to remove the TA housing from the rear differential housing. The TA housing can be removed using a TA handle. check out the pictures at www dot charliesrepair dot com. You can also roll the TA housing out from under the cab still attached to the engine and then remove the TA housing from the back of the engine. Keep-em-crankin charlie
