had to go run some errands and take the wifey out to din din after thatlast bit oh work, came home and got another 1.5 hours in before running some more errands to tsc for feedstuff and tools.
tried to manhandle the front pedistal with a loader and chain and decided to just unbolt the lower section and makeiteasier to manhandle the upper pedistal. had thewife poke the bolts in the holes as I held it up.
used a bottle jack to scootch the lower pedistal up and get the nuts back on.. she's setting on all 4 again, waiting for a rad and linkages tobe hooked up.
I'll be making a new alternator bracket as the prev owner used the genny bracket and some 1/4" allthread stuck out the front with a washer stack and a nut holding the lower ear of the alt.... thing was bent a good 20' cuz the allthread couldn't hold tension. I'll weld a 'L' shaped tab to the oem genny bracket so pass some new allthread thru, and upsize to 3/8, and make it so the end of the thread is supported on either side of the lower ear..
may be a friday morning job.. dunno. thereis a tractor show in town I mayplay hookie and go see.
