Have got a 1594 caseIH [david brown] with a minnemec injector pump. Its mainly our dicsbine tractor. Idles smooth and for the most part holds rpm at pto rpm, although is starting surge abit in the field. But if you drive it across the yard at mid rpm , its surges quite abit. Doesn't really hurt anything, but is real annoying when you like to hear a smooth running engine. Had it off and to a good repair shop a couple of years ago. they fixed a couple of broken springs in it, but said otherwise it seemed ok. That didn't seem to help much. A couple of weeks ago I was at a consignment sale with a fairly rough 1594 on it and it ran the same way. Is there something about the minnemec pump or this tractor in general that will cause this? what are we missing?
