Found a shop in Omaha that re-lined my oiginal discs for $35.00 each - so for $140.00 I walked away with new brakes, cleaned everything up, lubed the ball bearings, and put it all back together.
Big Red stops on a dime now!!
Maybe the Lamberts dont work well for heavy usage, but my place isnt too big, I have only had her in third gear once in two years, she's gonna be fine here - now I can keep her the way she was when I got her and have the conversation piece about the Lambert conversion.
BTW - after I spent the cash to get mine relined, a guy in Missouri listed a full set of Lamberts on eBay, "Buy it Now" for $150.00, housings, discs, and acuators if anyone is looking.
Now - on to figuring out how to hook up the old two way valve I picked up on eBay last week - posts to come Im sure..
Lovin my IH - good to have her out in the sunshine finally...
