My new holland Skidsteer has a 2 cyl gas continental engine. I know this is not a ih but the problem I am having is that last week it became very hard to get it running. I use to pull the choke move the trottle up hit the key and it would start. Now I have to Trottle all the way down and no choke to get it running. I have to then feather it up to full Throttle. I cleaned the carb and blew it out with air. THe only thing I could find is the plug that is in the bottom of the air intake on the carb is missing. There is just a open hole. Cound this cause the problem or is something else doing it. The plugs are not wet when I am turning it over and cant get it to start so it must be a fuel issue. the pump is working and the valves are going up and down. I am stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
