P, I did not use new pistons as I stated in my post. Everything I did was listed. I did a low budget overhaul and replaced what was necessary to replace. As far as building a new engine like yourself, everyone has a different opinion on what a overhaul is. I was just suggesting something to possibly fix his problem and save him some money. I know my money tree in the back yard is picked clean. I have one question for you though. Did you buy everything form Case/IH? That's the only way I can see you paying that much for parts. I buy almost all my parts at NAPA for a big break on price. You have more in your motor than I have in my 48' Cub w/ hydraulics and a 42" Woods belly mower, redone engine, new tires, and radiator, I also use mine Spring through Fall to mow 3.5 acres a week plus other misc. Cub sized chores. I am not trying to be rude, but I don't take critcism well when I am just offering advice. It seems like you have to be a pro mechanic to post on here in the last week. I guess I will just keep quiet. Bill {Antique Acres}
